Public results are anonymous and grouped. Your individual entry is not published, and the public cannot see your email, postcode, name or personal record.

Because the system uses email verification to stop abuse, the most accurate description is privacy-first and privacy-separated rather than pretending no information is used at all.

It is used to verify access, reduce bots and repeat abuse, and give you a secure way to update or delete your political preference later.

Your postcode is used to match your entry to the correct constituency, council ward, district or borough, county division, region and nation. Without that, the site could not track political party support by local area.

No. Who You With? is not built to sell personal data. The purpose is to publish anonymous public political support totals, not to package your political opinion into a commercial profile.

No. The project is not designed to create a named list of voters and their views. The aim is to count current political preference by area and publish grouped results.

No. Public pages show grouped totals. Your individual answer is not published.

Some areas may have small numbers at first. Showing detailed results too early could make people easier to guess and could make tiny counts look more meaningful than they are. Small local breakdowns are protected until enough people have taken part.

No. A normal poll usually uses a selected sample and weighting to estimate wider opinion. Who You With? is a live public political party support tracker showing where verified participants currently stand.

Swing usually means a formal calculated movement between parties or elections. Who You With? tracks trends in political support from current preference entries, so “support trends” is clearer and avoids overclaiming.

It means public results are open to view as anonymous grouped totals. It does not mean personal data is open. A better phrase is: open public results, protected personal data.

Yes. The idea is one verified person and one current entry. If your view changes, you can sign in and update it.

Your entry counts in public aggregate results for 24 months from the last time you save or update it. After that it becomes dormant and stops counting publicly. You can refresh it during the further 12 months recovery period. If you do not refresh it, it is deleted after 36 months from the latest save or update.

Only if you switch them on. Reminder emails are optional, off by default, and used only to warn you before your entry stops counting.

Yes. You can request deletion using the Delete data page.

The platform is designed to list registered parties and options fairly. The purpose is not to push one party. The purpose is to let people show where they currently stand and let areas speak for themselves.

The tracker is designed to list registered UK political parties by name, including smaller and regional parties, so they are not buried under a vague “Other” result.

Yes. Who You With? is registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office for data protection purposes.

This does not mean the ICO endorses the site or its results. It means the project has taken the proper step of registering as a data controller where required.

Yes. Who You With? can accept voluntary donations to support hosting, security, development, data maintenance, public awareness and advertising the Who You With? tools and service.

Donations are separate from tracker entries. They do not support, oppose or promote any political party, candidate or election outcome, and they do not affect results, rankings or how entries are counted.

The Donate page may show aggregate donation totals for transparency, but donor names, email addresses, payment references and political preferences are not published.
